Zadar is city of basketball. It was not easy to find a hall in Zadar for Badminton training. Our search came to end when we talked to the principal of Osnovna Škola Stanovi. We were kind of surprised to know that they already have lines for badminton court. After a short discussion, we found a place where badminton training can start. Many thanks to Principal and other supporting staff of Osnovna Škola Stanovi.
Badminton Zadar started it’s first training on April 4th, 2018. We got an amazing response from the people of Zadar. On the first day 14 people came to engage into the experience of badminton. Most of the group members are beginners who either never played or played as kids in their backyard or during a picnic. This is the first time people came together to play in a proper indoor court to have a badminton training.

We were excited about the start and were happy to see the enthusiasm of the people who joined for the training. As adults it is not easy to get a training and do the same activity again and again. However, if we overcome that feeling and put our focus on training, we start to see the benefits of repetition. Soon, the simple activity starts to feel fun as we see ourselves improving.
We are positive that all the people who joined us will continue to train and play with us. We will try to ensure that everyone stays safe, have fun while slowly improving their game as well as fitness.
In the future we hope to receive support from other schools/halls so that more people can “Add badminton to their life”.
